Helpful Guidelines

HELPFUL GUIDELINES

• I do want you showing up on time, but am aware of the fact that some people work or have school and may need to come late or leave early. No problem – just let me know.

• If I pass out scenes to be memorized (Off Book) for the following week, I expect you to know your lines and come to class prepared.

• Each student is expected to pay each week. Records are kept. Receipts are written.

• An actor NEVER has to do a scene or say a word that they do not feel comfortable with. Just let me know and I will give you a different scene or change a word. I respect your boundaries.

• I am your teacher as well as a filmmaker. I make no promises that actors will be in my movies just because they study with me. Each actor must earn that right and audition for parts in my movies if they are right for the character. And yes, it is true – I have cast many actors I train in my films in the past because they are GOOD. Makes sense to me!

• I am not an agent or agency. I’m a teacher and filmmaker. You will hear of many projects going on by networking in my classes. My advice is to always let your agent know if you go on an audition that they didn’t get you. It’s a great way to show them how hard you are working at your craft. I support whatever agency you feel comfortable with.

• Students are to respect each other at all times. END OF STORY.

• Bottom line – We come to class to learn, work hard and have fun!

“Your movie Propensity was one of the best movies I ever did. Love you, Rob.”

Danny Trejo (legendary character actor and star of such films as “Spy Kids, Con Air, Once Upon A Time in Mexico and many others!)
